Cheap Holidays

Over the last few years, budgets have been tight and the money in our pockets has been in short supply. No wonder then that people are trying to get as much value as they can out of their money and get a cheap holiday. Unfortunately, with the change in school regulations, it is now very difficult to get children out of school during term time. As such, this does restrict the times when you take a holiday with all of the family. For those without children, it does mean that there will be more availability at the holiday parks in term time and so should result in some cheaper deals. For families we would advise booking early for the peak periods like the summer holidays and half term. In addition, there are usually some staff training days at schools that may fall conveniently near weekends, so look out for them on those leaflets that are sent home or on the school's website.

Holiday deals and last minute bookings are also a way to get a cheap holiday. Our deals page has a large selection from 2 or 3 of the major park companies and short breaks can start at less than £100, out of the peak season. Much as we wish that these prices could be available in the school summer holiday period, the chances are that will be unlikely.

Another way of getting the best value is to check up on the offers from the holiday park companies. Again these deals are usually designed to get customers booking early at certain periods of the year or as a last minute deal to avoid any empty spaces at the parks. At Holiday-Parks.com, we try to list all of the offers we are sent, but without doubt there are more to be found on some of the big park companies' websites. The offers usually have an end date and some can include money off voucher codes. Always read the small print that goes with the offers, as sometimes there are clauses about using more than one offer or voucher at a time.

Remember a large number of the holiday parks in the UK are open from the end of March until the beginning of November ( just after the Autumn half term), so a holiday does not have to be in the summer. Some facilities may not be available all year round, like outdoor pools for example, so check before you book.
