Holiday Checklist

We advertise a fantastic selection of holiday parks, bur what should you check before you go on holiday to one. This list may seem obvious, but you will be surprised how many of us leave it until the last minute to do things.

What is open?
If you are going to a holiday park early ot late in the year, it is worth checking to make sure that the facilities you expect are open. Entetainment and outdoor pools can be seasonal, so idaelly check before you book.

Where is the park located?
A lot of these parks are in rural locations, so be sure to check and print out the address and directions so that you can find your way there. It may be worth printing out a map of the park, as if you leave it to maps on your mobile, the signal in the countryside can sometimes not work well enough.

What is included with your holiday?
Although most parks do supply bed linen with caravans and other accommodation, you should check as not all do. Towels are another item that fall into that category.
In self catering accommodation, there should be a toilet roll, but you cannot rely on there being lots of toilet rolls or other necessities. It is easy to take tea, coffee, washing up liquid and other small light items, but don't carry huge bottles of water or pop, as they will weigh your car down and make you use more petrol. Most parks have shops, that are not too expensive.

Should I take lots of items?
In contrast to the above, just take enough items for the days you are going. It is easy to get over enthusiastic with the amount of clothes and other items that you may require and so you end up bringing home unused items. Look at the weather forecast before you go and be prepared for any changes. Lightweight macs are an ideal item and do not take up much space. It may be sunny when you leave home, but you can get quite cool winds on the coast even on hot days.
